Conditions for SBL

 

  • Lending securities must be listed in SET100 which are in the Marginable list of the company and TDEX.
  • The securities lent to the client must be settled.
  • Borrower has to buy back the borrowed securities within T-1 date before corporate action (XD, XR, XM, XW, or Par Value changed) of borrowed securities happen and return them to the company.
  • Short selling price must not be lower than the last trading price at that time. (Zero Plus Tick).
  • Foreign stocks and NVDR cannot be sold short.
  • The maximum amount of time for borrowing is one year, the minimum is one day.
  • The minimum borrowing fee will be charged for 50 baht/day.

Executing Short and  cover short transaction have to Flag "s" into the trading system.

CGS-CIMB will inform borrowers before 4 working days of corporate action and borrowers have to buy back the borrowed securities within at least 1 working day before corporate action (XD, XR, XM, XW, or Par Value changed) of borrowed securities happen and return them to the company.
